6月22日は冷蔵庫の日。コロナ禍で増える困窮者を救う街角冷蔵庫や公共冷蔵庫が岡山や大阪に登場しています。もともと2015年にスペインで登場した「連帯冷蔵庫」がモデルになっています。岡山県の北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ や、大阪市の循環型地域食堂「ばんざい東あわじ」 、大阪でコミュニティフリッジの設置をめざす寝屋川市民たすけあいの会をご紹介しました。

Yahoo!トピックス「地域」に掲載されている記事です。今日はごみゼロの日。1990年代半ば頃、カリフォルニアやイタリアで、環境保護運動を通じて「ゼロウェイスト」（Zero Waste：ごみゼロ）の考え方が醸成されてきました。世界各国で意見交換を行う「ゼロウェイスト国際連合」（ZWIA: Zero Waste International Alliance）という組織もあります。日本では、ゼロウェイスト宣言を行った自治体は、日本で初めて宣言した徳島県上勝（かみかつ）町を含む5自治体のみに過ぎませんが、この運動の発祥国のひとつであるイタリアでは、全国で300を超える自治体がゼロウェイスト宣言を行っています。坂野晶さんや服部雄一郎さんの取り組みもご紹介させていただきました。

Today is Zero Waste Day, a day when the concept of “Zero Waste” (zero waste) was fostered in California and Italy around the mid-1990s through the environmental protection movement. There is also an organization called the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA), which exchanges opinions among countries around the world. In Japan, only five municipalities have declared zero waste, including the town of Kamikatsu in Tokushima Prefecture, the first municipality in Japan to do so, but in Italy, one of the countries where this movement originated, more than 300 municipalities have declared zero waste nationwide. We have also introduced the efforts of Akira Sakano and Yuichiro Hattori.
